  • Beschrijving: Workers are operating gas generators, which keep the glassworks in operation. After weighing of all the ingredients required for the glass production (sandy silicate, "poština", sodium carbonate) a mixture is blended and taken to melting furnaces. In the glass shop men are taking the candent raw material and with the help of blowpipes they shape the basic form of the future finished products. Workers are assisted by women, who are bringing and carrying away the blowpipes. For the production of glass lampshades the workers are using wooden moulds in the shape of a sphere, which is later on cut to two halves and cut/grinded. The glassworks also produce glasses for pocket watches, which are cut by women workers from glass half-spheres. A similar procedure of blowing and shaping of glass is also applied upon production of glass bottles.
